Directory
Our Directory module provides member based organisations an innovative way to maintain essential offline relationships online. By incorporating the ideal aspects of the social web, Directory continues offline relationships online and presents meaningful results by focusing and securing connections within the organisation's membership. Essentially, Directory allows members to maintain existing relationships through easy to use on-line tools, as well as encouraging members to form new relationships with peers, colleagues, and people with shared interests.
Member Benefits Include:
- Creating a secure personal profile that can be pre-populated with information from the membership database
- Defining who can view their profile and what pieces they can see
- Searching the member directory to find friends and colleagues
- Categorising colleagues into personally defined groups, such as co-workers, classmates, etc
- Participating in pre-established or ad-hoc groups to solve an important problem or discuss a topic of interest
- Discovering colleagues with common backgrounds or interests through automated networks
- Creating and managing Websites, Discussions and Resource Libraries for your groups when integrated with other Higher Logic tools
Some directory features
The Most Valuable Member and Digital Ribbons
The success of a social network and social strategy primarily involves gaining trust from your audience or members. By providing a call to action, allowing for two way communication and sharing inspiring or educational content is a great way to encourage members to participate in a social network. But there will be those members who always exceed expectations, provide valuable insights or witty blogs that will be your most "social" members.
We have developed a designation of the "Most Valuable Member" and many others that recognizes those members that are truly exceptional. The Most Valuable Member (MVM) designation and graphic represent our default offering and both may be customized to something more meaningful to your organisation.
Designations will appear on the directory page of the member. Points are weighed and allotted based on their active participation in many areas such as posting and writing blogs, posting content to the resource library, and rating and commenting. Clients can come up with their own ribbons around almost anything.
Building Online Communities
The goal of Directory is to give all members the power to think of new ways to innovate their core business practices. To that end, our Member Directory integrates all of the social views necessary to manage today's information exchanges. Our ability to integrate with Association Management Systems (AMS) enables us to provide detailed views regarding industry conferences, comprehensive business network connections and related chapters and committee information
